Photocopy and Scanning Services
Self service Copiers/Scanners
Two public copiers/scanners are available in the Law Library. Both machines are equipped with copy card devices and are also equipped to take coins, $1.00 and $5.00 bills. The Library can provide only a limited amount of change. Be sure to bring coins and small bills if you plan to do any photocopying or scanning.
The two machines offer reduction as well as full-size copy capabilities. Copies are $.10 per copy if cash is used. If a library user will be doing a great deal of photocopying, a JayBuck$ debit card is often a more convenient and economical method of paying for copies. For Creighton employees and students, your ID card acts as your JayBuck$ card. For those that are not Creighton employees or students, a JayBuck$ debit card may be purchased from the Law Library vending machine located near the self-service copiers/scanners. The cost for the debit card is $.50, but when a debit card is used to purchase copies, the copy charge is reduced to $.08 per copy. Additional money may be added to the debit card from the same vending machine. All other Creighton University Libraries are equipped with copy machines that utilize the same cards.
The two machines also offer scanning capabilities. Scanned documents are $.10 per scan and can be paid for with cash or JayBuck$ (outlined in the prior paragraph). Scanning can be done in black and white or in color. Upon paying for scanned documents at the Circulation Desk, they will be emailed to your email account.
Copy Center Services
The Law School Copy Center, though not administered by the Law Library, is a very valuable ancillary service. The Law School Copy Center handles photocopy services for Law School faculty and staff. Law School student groups can also direct their group-related copying needs to the Copy Center attendant.
Students and members of the public may not use the Copy Center for personal copying, including class-related copying. Self-service copy machines are located in the library for general copying needs.
